The CMSP-CAT5-2 provides protection for two CAT5 data lines. The unit is fully compatible with industry-standard 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet networks, providing protection to both Ethernet data pairs as well as the PoE power feed. The unit supports both 802.3af modes A and B supplying power. Power can be fed up the CAT5 data pairs, 1-2, 3-6 or using the two unused pairs, 4-5, 7-8. Each module supports both AC and +/- DC power. The CMSP-CAT5-2 features shielded RJ45 jacks for use with of shielded CAT5 cable.This arrestor is compatible with 10 and 100 Base-T Network appliance with or without PoE capability. This includes Wireless Access Points, Wired Switches, Network Appliances, Outdoor Wireless Routers and CCTV IP Cameras. A ground lug and terminal is provided to allow connection to the rack system ground.The rugged aluminum chassis can be wall or shelf mounted. Mounting holes are provided on the unit. The individual protector modules are field replaceable.This lightning surge protector is compatible with Cisco legacy network appliance products like Access Points, IP Phones, DC Injectors and other equipment supporting reverse polarity PoE pinouts.This protector is also available in a 4-port version, L-com part number CMSP-CAT5-4.For additional information and complete specifications, click the Data Sheet link in the Downloads tab.
